Hispanic Church Opens in Borger

We are excited to announce the planting of a totally Hispanic service in Borger, TX – Centro De Adoracion Berra (Maranatha Church). Rev. Mauricio & Luisa Lopez have felt the call to reach the Spanish speaking people in the Borger area. We also are excited to see our Assistant Superintendent, Rev. Enrique Venegas work with the Spanish speaking churches in our conference.

The service was attended by three of our Conference Board members; including seven pastors from five churches with a total attendance of approximately 75 people. The sermon was preached by Rev. Venegas and translated by our previous conference board member and Hispanic leader, Rev. Patrick Estrada who now pastors a church in Guymon, OK.

There were several donations given this day to see the glorious start to this church:

  • $589 in offering
  • An electric stove brought up by Dare To Believe Ministries (they also fixed the wiring)
  • Help with a sound system

We are looking forward to great things from this new church plant. Please keep them in our prayers.

Sincerely
Gary Burd
